a few months ago, Brent and I got a cat.
we love pets and since we've been married,
we've had 3 dogs, a gold fish and now a cat
(and we've only been married 2 years...)
our first dog was Mia, we adored her, but she was a lab puppy
and we live in an apartment. we rescued her from the local
pound, but couldn't keep her, so we found her a new home.
Next was Lexi. Don't be fooled by her cuteness
we call her Satan's dog.

Next was Wall-e.
we had Wall-e a grand total of 23 hours.
He was a sweetheart, but he was HUGE!!
no pictures of him either....we didn't have him for very long : )
Now we have our spunky kitty. Thunder.
We got him at a local cat sanctuary.
neither brent nor i have ever been cat people....
but we LOVE him!

The picture of Brent sleeping with the cat is SO funny. We miss you guys. Thunder and all.
ReplyDeleteI always read your blog I sadly just don't always comment but I live reading about what's going on with you guys! Lots of love!!
ReplyDeletebrent didn't like the fish. the fish didn't have a happy ending. suspicious.
ReplyDeleteI always read your blogs, too, but I don't always know when you have posted something on there...so I eventually get there and check. Thanks for the link today. I love how you have so much love for animals. You have the gift to nurture. This is good practice for when you have children....but when your children disappoint you or irratate you or make messes...unfortunately you can't get rid of them :-) Enjoy Thunder. I'm glad you have a pet you both love. It's funny how animals grow on you...they can irritate you to no end (like Gretels' chewing habits and digging and hair everywhere and the licking and tail wacking...like right now she is licking my arm and bumping my arm that is trying to type this so I'll pet her.....but she loves us unconditionally and wants acceptance and love all the time. I honestly can say I love her very much, despite all the negative things about having her. Last night I needed to get out of the house and so dad and I and Hans took Gretel to the dog park. It was such a "head clearing", fun thing to do. We threw the frisbee to her and watched her play with the other dogs. I am so glad we have her in our life and she is so good for Hans.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting about your cat. Just never been around cats myself much. When you come to stay with us for a couple of months at Christmas time, I guess you are bringing Thunder with you, aren't you. Hopefully she and Gretel will be friends.
Another possible problem is Hans breaks out in a rash all over his face and neck when he plays with Gabes' cat and I know Jonathan has allergies to cats too.
Love and miss you Mette and Brent!
Very suspicious, huh Bronwyn about the fish...
ReplyDeleteYou are both admitting to being cat people, seriously!?
